This year's reunion is hosted by Malcolm Milligan & Mary Donohue and will be
held in Mystic CT from September 14 thru September 16, 2010.
Malcolm has put together a great reunion for us! Please read
all about it below.
Note: These middle of the week
dates were chosen to optimize on lower travel costs and easier
midweek traveling!

The Comfort Inn® hotel is conveniently located off Interstate
95 in the heart of historic Mystic, home of Mystic Pizza.
This Mystic, CT hotel is within walking distance from the area's
top attractions.
Guests of this Mystic hotel will enjoy amenities like
free deluxe continental breakfast
with Belgian waffles, free
wireless high-speed Internet access and the on-site
exercise room. All
rooms include hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, coffee makers
and cable television. Some rooms also feature
hot tubs. Parking is
free!
We also have the use of a (about 40 seat)
hospitality room which will feature refreshments supplied by the
committee! The Inn does not have other dining facilities
but there is a Thai
restaurant, a
Pizza Grille, a fabulous fish place called
Go Fish and
The Steak Loft
within a two minute walk away as well as many
other restaurants close by.
Tour:
Our major trip will be to view the
USS Nautilus, our first
nuclear submarine, and the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, CT,
just 15 minutes away. We may also be able to incorporate a visit
to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and perhaps the Tall Ship Eagle,
a short distance away. (Admission is free but we will be
arranging for a bus and that cost is still in undetermined!)
Banquet: Wednesday, September 15th @
6:30 PM
The Comfort Inn is just across the highway (walkways available)
from shops/restaurants of Old Mistick Village. In the Village is a
restaurant,
The Steak Loft, which has offered to host our banquet and we will
be ordering off the menu.
Nearby Attractions:
Mystic Seaport
The Museum of America and the Sea is
an outdoor museum area with wharves and boats to be viewed,
boarded, and rented. Historic Downtown Mystic and Mystic
River Cruises are also available in this same area. All are
under a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Adult
$24, Senior (age 65+) $22, Children (age 6 - 17) $15!
Can't see it all in one day? Have your
ticket validated before you leave and you can
return a second day for FREE
within 7 days of validation.
The Mystic
Marine Aquarium Institute for Exploration is also across the
road in Old Mistick Village. Adult $26,
Senior (age 60+) $23, Children (age 3 - 17) $19 - age 2 and under
Free! If you leave the building make sure you get your hand
stamped at the exit doors so you can return later that day!
Foxwoods Casino
is 12 miles away and
Mohegan Sun
Casino is 22 miles away.
There are many other activities readily
available – fishing,
golf, and
sailing!
Embark on a half-day, sunset, or harbor
cruise aboard ARGIA with
Voyager Cruises.
The ARGIA is an authentic replica of a 19th Century
gaff-rigged sailing schooner. Or try the
Mystic Whaler for one of their half day cruises!
There
are other historic villages nearby, such as
Stonington and
Noank,
with old Captain’s houses from the 1800’s, and a wonderful outdoor
lobster house with picnic benches.
