A Dreamer

VERSE 1

I dreamed of singin' on the Opry

Under the lights so bright

And seein' all the smilin' faces

As I stepped on stage that night

I'd do a couple Patsy Cline songs

And hear the roarin' crowd

Then I'd sing one that I wrote myself

That would make my Mama proud

CHORUS

Yeah, I've always been a dreamer

Since I was very small

Yet the pictures there in my mind

It didn't seem like dreams at all

I love good Country music

I sing songs old and new

Yeah, I've always been a dreamer

And I knew that dreams come true

VERSE 2

Now here I stand on the stage

While the band is playin' loud

And sittin' there in the front row

I see Daddy lookin' so proud

The Grande Ole Oprys' been a home

To many who stood before me

Yeah all my dreams are coming true

And I'm giving it all to Country

CHORUS

Yeah, I've always been a dreamer

Since I was very small

Yet the pictures there in my mind

It didn't seem like dreams at all

I love good Country music

I sing songs old and new

Yeah, I've always been a dreamer

And I knew that dreams come true

TAG

Yeah, I've always been a dreamer

And I knew that dreams come true
