Goals: To write a number 1 or top 10 country song. ( One can dream right?!) To make a positive impact on the country music audience of listeners. To write songs that will touch the hearts and lives of those who listen to them.

Influences: My biggest influence was my Grandfather, Ed who's love of Country Music and his wonderful fiddle playing first introduced me to the kind of music I have grown to love and enjoy! Songwriters, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, George Strait, just to name a very few and countless Country Artists such as Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt, also inspired my songwriting.

Pet Peeves: # 1 Being called by the name "Sue" I'd rather be called Suzanne, Suzi or Suz, thank you! # 2 People who are pretenders or users. I think the Golden Rule applies here quite well.

Quote: "Don't let anyone shoot down your dreams, carry them close to your heart. Be a dream maker, not a dream chaser."

Suzanne as told by her Mother, has written stories and poems since she was a very young age. She seemed to have a passion for writing that continues on to this day. Her rhyming skills came easily to her and along with her deep love for country music she began to write song lyrics. Many of the songs she has written could be suited well for some of the great artists such as Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride and Dolly Parton. Each having a style all their own. Also some of the male artists she has written songs that would suit could be the likes of Hank Williams Sr., George Jones, Keith Whitley, George Straight and Alan Jackson to name a few.

Words From Suzanne

"Though I presently reside In Southern California, I was born in a small farming town in South Dakota. As a child I listened to country and honky tonk music. My Grandfather, Ed played the fiddle at the town and barn dances and continued to play for our listening enjoyment well into his 70's. I remember the pure joy on his face as he played for us. I grew to love country music and the songs about life and love. They were like little stories, some happy and some sad but they all held a special place in my heart. Music has always been a passion of mine, I loved listening to it and singing along. That passion is what compelled me to begin writing country songs. The more songs I wrote, the more ideas for new ones came to my mind. As most songwriters will tell you the ideas for songs come from many places. Some from life experiences, others from observing others and some from a simple few words or a phrase you hear or read."

Friends & Co-writers

Ron Pagan

"Since I started writing songs I have had the pleasure of working with some very talented people. My very first songs to have music composed for were done by Ron Pagan, an excellent guitar player and composer. I can't tell you what it feels like to hear the words you've written come to life in music and voice. Ron took my ideas and turned them into beautiful complete songs. I was in awe of them the first time I heard them and enjoyed working with Ron very much. We seemed to be tuned into each other."

Lolene

"One of my most recent co-writing partners and friend is a lovely and talented lady, Lolene, singer/songwriter and musician. Lolene is a refreshing and truly entertaining artist. Lolene and I are presently working many new songs. She completed her album, "Lonely Dealin's" which has been released and is available. On the album is a song we co-wrote, "Slow Burn" which has done very well as a single!! Her warm, sultry voice is very distinctive and a pure listening pleasure! Lolene's logo, "Country Music With An Attitude" suits her singing perfectly. She has a unique style all her own and each song she sings has a personality all to itself. I look forward to a long and enjoyable writing partnership and special friendship with her. We have much in common in our writing and hope that the fruits of our labors will be available on more of her albums in the future for all to hear." All the best to you Lolene in your music career! You are a pure joy to listen to and a very dear and special friend!"

Troy Cook, Jr.

"Troy co-rote a song with me titled, "A Dreamer" which was recorded by young Jillian Marie." Troy is an country singer, musician and performer. I wish him the best with his career."

"Thank you to these wonderful people who I have had the pleasure of working with! You all have enriched my life and touched my heart with your talent and friendship!"
